Beginning Band – Spring 2010
 | Thursday, March 4: Indoor Color Guard Show Night; SMS gym, 7 pm (color
guard members and parents) |
| Thursday, March 25: Step-Up meeting with Amro Music |
| Friday, March 26: Beginning Band performs for SIS 5th
graders (during school)- Concert attire: wear blue band t-shirt (tucked
in) and long blue jeans to school* |
| Tuesday, March 30: Step-Up meeting with Amro Music |
| Tuesday, April 20: SMS Spring Concert in SMS gym- Concert attire: nice
dress clothes within school dress code* |
*Required for all SMS Beginning Band students.

color guards |
| Saturday, March 6- Novice and AA color guards travel to Ridgeland, MS;
MIA Championships |
| Thursday, March 25: Step-up Meeting with Amro Music |
| Saturday, March 27: Joe Barry Mullins Band Festival, Grenada HS, 8th
grade band* |
| Tuesday, March 30: Step-up Meeting with Amro Music |
| Thursday, April 1: 1st Fair Share installment due- 8th
grade only |
| Saturday, April 17: Solo and Ensemble Festival at DeSoto Central High
School |
| Tuesday, April 20: SMS Spring Concert- Southaven MIDDLE school gym**
